Jay Deutchman

With over 25 years of experience in real estate finance and development, Mr. Deutchman specializes in the nationwide acquisition of distressed properties, including those that are converted for use by HIV positive patients and individuals with behavioral health challenges. He has raised hundreds of millions of dollars from investors and secured significant funding from private sector financial institutions. Mr. Deutchman currently owns and operates multi-unit properties in Florida’s West Palm Beach, including the Singer Family Homes vacation rental properties. He also owns an 11-building sober housing complex in that city and an adjoining behavioral health campus which offers assisted living housing services to those suffering from dementia and other memory loss conditions.

Howard Kneller

Mr. Kneller is a lawyer with over 30 years of experience in private equity financing and the regulation of the U.S. financial markets. He started his career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Simon Chrein in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Thereafter, he worked as an attorney in the securities and complex business law departments of the law firms Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP and Gratch, Jacobs, & Bronzman, PC. At the latter firm, he also worked on the business side, engaging in large private equity transactions. Immediately before launching Taughannock Capital Partners, Mr. Kneller was an enforcement attorney with FINRA, the financial industry’s premier regulator. In that position, he managed a complex docket of investigations involving alleged violations of the federal securities laws and FINRA rules.
